Who are the homeless?

A recently completed study by the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition reported that, on average, about 2,000 people are without housing each evening in the Cincinnati area.

2,500 families are homeless each year in Greater Cincinnati

Families with children are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population in Greater Cincinnati.

32% of the 25, 488 homeless in our area are children

Children make up 67% of those served by IHNGC

Of the more than 30 shelters in Cincinnati, IHNGC is one of only two that will house two-parent families and families with teenage boys.

Utilizing existing community resources and volunteers enables IHN to host homeless families for half the cost of traditional shelters
